PA Meeting

Hi VCS Community,
The Parent Association Co-Chairs are excited to announce that after the Thanksgiving break our next PA meeting will be on campus. The meeting will be on Thursday, December 2nd just after drop off time.  Yes, “Morning Coffee Meeting” is back! Just bring your empty mug to fill out with hot coffee.  There are important announcements we want to share with you, including the Winter Solstice Festival details. Hope to see you all!

Website Reminder!

Please take a moment to explore our revamped website. It is a great place to learn about what is going
on school wide. The teacher tabs give you an inside look into the classrooms. And another shout out to
Emma for putting it together!

From Our Local Fire Department

Season’s Greetings!

Your local charities have decided to join together in order to provide for those in need during the holiday season! Together we will collect funds, toys, and food to be handed out to registered recipients on December 11th and 12th. Registration can be completed online at https://www.secretsantanow.org/SantaLetter/
All Santa Rosa Fire and Sonoma County Fire District Stations will be receiving drop off donations starting Nov. 26th following Thanksgiving.
Please share this information with students and local families so that we can make this Holiday Season the best ever!
If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you ASAP.

Thank you,
Bennett Leda

COVID Vaccine Update and Testing Reminder

All children ages five and up are now eligible for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, and the California Department of Education (CDE) is encouraging schools to promote that these safe, effective, and free vaccines help ensure children and families stay as safe and healthy as possible. Children are still susceptible to serious COVID-19 complications, and vaccines are the best tool to protect everyone from getting sick. Please encourage families to reach out to their family doctor, visit the MyTurn website, or call 833-422-4255 to schedule an appointment or find a walk-in clinic. For more information visit https://wecandothis.hhs.gov/

Reminder that if your child has any COVID or Flu-like symptoms: 1) Keep your child home 2) Call the school and tell us what symptoms your child is experiencing 3) Have your child PCR tested—we must have proof of a negative PCR test before your child can return to school. Please see the website for more information. Free testing at https://curative.com/
