Link to donate and share: Our 10th annual Creek Clean-a-Thon is soon upon us! Keep Saturday 4\/20 9-11:30am open for a time to tend to our earth. This is a wonderful day of cleaning up our local watershed and beautifying our community. Keep an eye out for more information on this special event. We can use some help organizing and on the day of this event. If are a business owner or know any who would like to support our school, please have them contact <\/strong>Airmanpatrick@gmail.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Hello Village community!<\/p>\n\n\n\n On April 7th, from 10:00 am \u2013 2:00 pm, Oliver\u2019s Market on Stony Point Road has offered us space to set up a table to tell folks about all our hard work cleaning up the creek over the years and this year on April 20th!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The plan is to set up a small table and have families meet and help for an hour talking with people about our efforts. If we get a few families, we can each take a block and next thing you know, the day will be past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We have been asked to keep it small, so we were thinking of 2 adults and 3-4 kids. Olders and youngers matched up would be great! Details are listed at the end of this bulletin and will also be posted on the website. We encourage you to make your best effort to meet our weekly challenges and give us your feedback on how it goes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meatless Monday\u2013<\/strong>Give up eating meat (or something else that is a high contributor of greenhouse gas emissions\u2013rice, soy, dairy, etc.) Bring to consciousness how our choices impact the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tech Free Tuesday and Thursday\u2013<\/strong>If it is not required for work or school, try to stay off all <\/strong>screens. Need to communicate? Call instead (not facetime). TV is your evening ritual? Take a family walk, read, play a game. We know this might be a hard one but challenge yourself and see what happens!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Water Wednesday\u2013<\/strong>Drink only water on this day. Ditch the coffee, juice, milk, soda, etc. and hydrate with water only. This is a day our community gathers to take care of our local creek (and it is a ton of FUN). Boots and work clothes are strongly recommended! Everything else is provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Start saving your coins! We will start collecting MONDAY as part of our Creek Clean Up fundraising. We will be collecting coins the entire month of April!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n https:\/\/forms.gle\/ZcQ29XWK1tdrFpjz9<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n VCS Summer camp will be offered from July 1st<\/sup> to August 2nd<\/sup> and is open to all current and new students grades TK-8. Please bring to Malika\u2019s classroom<\/p>\n\n\n\n The middle school is working on a sewing project where they are secretly<\/em> making stuffed animals for their buddies. Shhh, don’t tell Miss Malika’s students! Each week we will bring guests and together lead activities to awaken participants’ interest and explore new activities. The All In One! Enrichment Club will run for 5 weeks starting the week of April 2nd and ending the week of April 30th<\/sup>. We will meet each Tuesday from 3:30-4:30pm.
