Thank you, Stephanie!

What a wonderful time we had yesterday caring for our campus, creek and earth! I am consistently and whole-heartedly impressed with the enthusiasm and skill which our kids approach and take action to beautify our campus and care for the natural world in the process. Though our campus is one of the top kept clean campuses on a daily basis in Santa Rosa, our students are still able to produce an astonishing amount of trash because they check every inch of our school looking for their trash treasures… Binky, industrial sized toilet paper roll soaked through, trashed trash can, hippopotamus … just a few of the items we collected. Want to be amazed… ask your student “what kinds of things did you find on the cleanup and how does your work help the natural world?” Our students, teachers, school–we know what we do matters and makes a difference in the world! This is the Village Charter School way. We walk the walk and talk the talk, this time to the tune of 70 pounds of trash picked up!

➤ CA Department of Fish and Wildlife Invasive Species Art Contest Place Winners!

Meadow’s poster for Nutrias took 1st Place in the grade 2-4 division.
Rowan’s poster for Western Watersnakes took 1st Place in the grade 5-8 division.
Grayce’s poster on the Channeled Apple Snail took 3rd Place in the grade 5-8 division.

➤ Graduation and Carnival – IMPORTANT INFO

Graduation for our 8th grade students will begin at 1:30pm in the MPR.

ALL students in tk-8th grade will participate in the graduation unless you communicate with the office and your child’s teacher that you will be picking your child up early (no later than 12:45 as parking will be an issue).

Students will stay with their teacher when we gather in the MPR for graduation.
