Our youngest children will be introduced to the Village Charter School philosophy-\u00a0to educate the whole child physically, emotionally, socially and academically at the child\u2019s developmental and age-appropriate level<\/em>\u00a0within an outdoor classroom designed for 4- and 5-year-olds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Play is the foundation of learning, creativity, self-expression, and constructive problem-solving. The driving question for this event is: “How Do Society and Water Interact?”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Students have worked in cohorts to develop an understanding about catastrophic water phenomenon and their impacts on the environment. They have collaborated to design fictional lands using their critical and creative thinking as well as research on various elements of world building. Students have created geographic systems, economic systems, governments, laws, religions, lore, art, customs, and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n To bring these fictional worlds to life, students broke into specialized groups focusing on creating detailed maps and documentaries as well as storylines, scripts, costumes, and sets for short vignettes to be played out on stage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n On Thursday, February 9, 2023, you are cordially invited to immerse yourself in these worlds by watching a production designed, put together, and run by NWP students.
