➤ First Day of School and PARKING/TRAFFIC
The first day of school will be Wednesday, August 19th. This is a minimum day with 1:15 dismissal for all. Thursday and Friday will be full length days.
TRAFFIC and PARKING–IMPORTANT!
Parking is very limited.
We are asking all families to follow these instructions:
TK-1st grade–You can park and walk your child in if you would like.
2nd-8th grade–Use the drop-off drive through. If you want to join us for the morning spiral dance please find parking off campus in a LEGAL parking space.
DO NOT PARK IN ANY AREA OR DRIVEWAY
ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE SCHOOL
Most of us know these first 2 weeks are tight with traffic and parking. Please have your child ready to exit the car at drop off to keep traffic flowing.
Volunteers will be out there directing traffic–PLEASE RESPECTFULLY FOLLOW THEIR INSTRUCTIONS.
Arrive early. Go slow. Do not block SCOE buses. Park only in legal spots. Carpool. Drop off and park in the surrounding neighborhood. SLOW DOWN.
BIKE RIDERS–WALK your bikes as soon as you enter the parking lot. NO bike riding anywhere on campus at any time.
Practice patience and kindness.

➤ Update Student Data–ALL registration forms and immunizations must be in before the first day of school!
If you have not yet gone online to do your data confirmation through the Aeries Parent Portal, please do so ASAP. It is very important that we have all forms completed with current information. Thank you!
Required documents:
- Household Income (State requirement)
- Housing Questionnaire (State requirement)
- Emergency Card
- Any documents needing corrections
The Household Income, Housing Questionnaire, and any other updated VCS documents (PPP, etc.) must be emailed or printed and dropped off. We cannot retrieve them through Aeries.
➤ Volunteer Campus Cleanup/Prep
Saturday, August 15, 8:00 AM – Noonish
All hands on deck! Tons of manual labor and prep work to be done to get ready for the new school year, to include basic plumbing, cleaning, weed eating, a potential dump run, and more. Bring tools if you have them. Childcare will be provided.

This will be a whole school gathering. Childcare will be provided. More details to come.
