➤ Free Mental Health Services
Dear Village Community,
I am excited to let you know that Keystone Therapy and Training Services has returned to campus and will continue providing additional social-emotional support for the 2026-27 school year. Keystone is a social and behavioral health services organization providing mental health and wellness services to diverse children, families, and individuals. Keystone’s school-based programming began in 2021 and now serves over 25 schools across Sonoma County. This service is at no cost to families or Village Charter School.
Keystone’s School-Based Mental Health and Wellness Programming includes direct 1:1 support, small support groups, in the moment/drop in support, and classroom education for students in grades TK–12. Within this programming, Keystone providers integrate social–emotional learning, mindfulness, goal setting, and creative therapeutic approaches to help youth navigate emotions, build self-regulation, and strengthen interpersonal skills.
The Keystone Team we will be collaborating with this year includes:
- Andrew Lavenson (on site) – Support Specialist and Certified Wellness Coach – will be on site Mondays-Wednesdays providing direct services to students. Andrew was on campus last year and is available for student support as needed.
- Emily Qirreh (on site) – Second Year MFT Trainee – will be on-site Mondays and Tuesdays providing direct services to students. Emily will also be returning for her second year at VCS.
- Mishale Ballinger – Clinical and Programming Director, LPCC & PPSC. Mishale is the primary liaison for direct services, referral & caseload navigation, and program implementation. She will also be providing clinical oversight and higher-level support to ensure strong programming and coordinated care.
Andrew and Emily are planning to attend our Back to School night Wednesday, Sept 2nd and will be happy to answer questions and provide more information. Registering for Keystone services requires providing your student’s health insurance member ID; we encourage you to bring this information to Back to School night. Again, there is no co-pay or impact on insurance premiums; signing up costs you nothing but it helps strengthen the program and expand access for the families who need it.
Attached are the forms required for students to sign up for these supports. Please sign and return at your earliest convenience.
Hard copies are in the office and can be sent home with your child.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
