School Garden Workday

Thursday April 7th at 3:15

Please come participate in our first garden workday at VCS!

This is just step one! We will be doing general clean up and prep, weeding, pruning, etc. We also have 20 raspberry and 20 strawberry plants donated by the School Garden Network we need to plant.  Please bring tools for the job. Big Ask—someone with a weed eater (the grass is getting high) and a truck for a possible green dump run.

The School Garden Network is requesting photos and video of us planting, so if you don’t want to get your hands dirty, but like taking photos and making videos you can help that way as well.

If you have questions, please contact Amber Napoleon (Osha and Seva’s Mama).

Appreciations

Thank you, Kalima (friend to Malika), for the donation of tree rounds for the garden outside of Malika’s classroom. And thank you, Amy Palmer (Reeds’ mom), for donating your time and expertise helping Malika and her students with their garden. It is beautiful and full of wonder and joy! Thank you!
