It’s time to order the VCS Yearbook! Orders must be in by May 31st to arrive on time!
Purchase & Customize Your Yearbook: https://www.treering.com/validate?PassCode=1014724174042747
It’s just $20, and hardcover upgrades are available for an additional $6.95!
VCS Yearbooks are designed by a team of our own middle school students, and professionally printed in beautiful full color on recycled paper by a green certified printer. Each yearbook comes with 2 customizable pages which are FREE and printed only in YOUR book. Want more custom pages? Each additional 2 pages is just $0.99.
For every yearbook sold, Trees for the Future plants a tree in our school’s name. This grove of trees is planted by local families in countries devastated by deforestation and global climate change. These fast- growing, permanent trees protect fragile ecosystems and assure that families can continue to live in harmony with the natural resources of their lands. Each year, these trees will replace many tons of pollution from the atmosphere with life-giving oxygen.
In the last five years, VCS yearbook sales have planted 452 trees and counting!
Come celebrate the end of a great school year and the beginning of summer! Friday, June 10, 2022
Our last activities of the year are coming up. Graduation and Carnival will be Friday, June 10, 2022. Beginning with graduation at 1:00 pm followed by our traditional carnival.
For those of you new to the fun (and as a reminder to legacy families), here’s just a sampling of all the fabulous reasons to spend the last day of school with your Village:
Pizza, salads, sno-cones, popcorn & sweets at our cake walk
Go Fish, Bean Bag Toss, Spin the Wheel, sack race, leg tie race, & volleyball
face painting, temporary tattoos, photo booth, karaoke, soak N’ Wet Dunk Tank, sheep petting, and… Kid’s RAFFLE
Ticket prices- $1 EA. OR $20 FOR 25 TICKETS. Parents: If you are unable to attend the carnival, your child doesn’t have to miss all the fun. Next week we will send home a permission slip form that includes options for pre-purchasing the carnival tickets for them.
LOTS OF LITTLE PRIZES needed. Do you have party favors laying around (cluttering up your home? We’ll take them off your hands and put them to good (recycled) use. We’re not asking folks to purchase new ones, we’re confident we can collect plenty for our carnival games just from re-using what families can gather around their homes.
Please start bringing in your gently loved kid’s toys for the “Kid’s Raffle”. Fun suggestions: wooden toys, sports equipment, art supplies, musical instruments.
On the yummy side of things, WE NEED ITEMS FOR OUR CAKE WALK (everything sweet to eat is welcome–homemade or store bought, sugar-full, sugar-free, gluten-full, gluten-free, etc.). The more the (much) merrier! Baked goods can be delivered anytime on Thursday, June 9th (OR just bringing it along when you arrive at the carnival.)
Please, check your email next week for more details about the Carnival and Volunteer signup sheet.
Have you or are you upgrading your iPhone?
I am looking to upgrade my iPhone 6. I am wanting a better camera and my phone doesn’t have the storage I am needing. Please consider selling me your old phone if you think it might meet my needs.
Two of our current students, Brooklyn and Leila, would like to invite the community to come watch them (and other VCS students and alumni) perform with The Movement Lab. Click here to get more information and buy tickets!
Lost and Found
We will be taking all the lost and found items to donation at the end of the day Friday.
To Mitch Nunley and DryScape for the donation of playground bark. Yay! Our new play structure area is almost done! And thank you for getting it here so quickly!!
