Campus/Garden Clean up Days

Please join us in getting our school space ready for the students. Bring snacks and drinks for yourself if needed. We will be painting the planter boxes and beautifying the campus for the upcoming school year. If you have clippers, rakes, extra paint, paintbrushes, etc. please bring them as we have a limited supply. Come for just an hour or stay longer! We are gathering on 2 different days, so hopefully every family can pitch in.

Wednesday, August 10th at 4pm & Sunday, August 14th 9:30-1:30pm.

Mandatory Orientation for New AND Returning

We are asking that at least one parent from every family attend orientation this year. It is preferable to attend without your children. If you have no other childcare options, we have parent volunteers that will watch the kids while Rebecca goes over important school information. There will also be plenty of volunteer opportunities to sign up for.

Monday, August 15th 6pm-8pm(?)

Summer Camp Thank you!

I want to thank Matt and Coco for the incredible summer camp they held for our students. Every time I came to campus the kids were busy and happy. You both went the extra mile to provide adventures and unique experiences. And thank you to the older students and alumni who volunteered to help throughout the summer! I appreciate you all!

Goodbye Coco

If you haven’t heard, Coco will not be working at VCS anymore. He has completed his course work and hours for Dietary Management and is stepping into his new career. I know I am not alone in my mixed feelings of excitement, joy, and sadness. Coco, you have been a gift to this community, and I am grateful for all you have done for our students, the teachers, and the community as a whole. Those of us that see you every day, know that what you bring is irreplaceable. I trust you will make an appearance now and again to keep us posted on how you are doing.

With gratitude, Rebecca
