VCS 8 th Grade Graduation

1:15(ish)-2:45(ish)—NWP MPR
Graduation is a very special, whole school event. ALL students (including Kinder) will
participate in graduation with their classmates. Family, friends, alumni are all welcome–
please join us in celebrating and honoring these incredible students!
Some important housekeeping details:

o Please make sure seating is available for the families of our graduates and others that may not be able to stand for long periods of time.
o After graduation, students will first report to their classrooms then will be released to join up with parents and head out to the carnival.
o Please follow all parking regulations and be mindful of pedestrians.


VCS End-of-the-Year CARNIVAL

A long-standing VCS tradition is celebrating the last day of school with a good old-fashioned carnival! All current students, alumni, and new families are welcome to join. Food, games, cake walk, raffle, and more starts immediately after 8 th grade graduation–FRIDAY JUNE 9 around 3pm.

We will be selling tickets for food, games, etc. the day of. Please send your kid(s) with cash to purchase. One ticket equals $1. Most games and food range from 1-3 tickets.  Please note- No one will be turned away for lack of funds.  Shirts for tye-dyeing will be available for purchase ($15 per shirt, child and adult sizes). Cash or Venmo accepted.

Carnival raffle!
We are seeking donations for our raffle. These should be items laying around your house- NOTHING NEWLY PURCHASED. Items should be gently used or new and unwrapped. Popular items from past years have been-Stuffed animals/squish mellows, puzzles, games, art and crafts supplies, journals/notebooks, sports gear/equipment, book sets, musical instruments, boxed activities, backpacks/purses, and many more items. Please bring to the office labeled ‘raffle.’ 

CAKE WALK
We need treats for our cake walk-gluten free, nut free, dairy free, sugary, all kinds and good
variety! Homemade or store bought. Please send on disposable plates, platters, etc. If
possible, please label and bring to Ms. Parents classroom counter or office the afternoon of
6/8 or morning of 6/9. 

It does take a village to make the magic happen, so please look at the sign-up link, and see where you can help with this event. We need parents and alumni volunteers to manage booths, help with set up, break down etc.

Registration Packets Due Friday June 9th !

We request that families complete and return all registration forms by the last day of school, Friday, June 9th .
Over the summer, information will be reviewed, corrected, or updated in the database. Oncec completed you will be asked to log-in to Aeries and complete the registration process.


Help Grow our School Garden

Ms. Parent is looking for:
 garden pots (5 gallons or larger)

 sprouting pots (4 quart or small 6 packs)

These items are intended to be donated as “gently used” to create less waste:
Outdoor Rugs (OR something washable, like “rag rugs”)
METAL and WOODEN dishes for mud kitchen, some plastics OK
High quality toys meant for ages 4-5 (preferably wooden, No media characters)

Canning Jars (need 8oz set for paint)
