LETTER OF INTENT TO RETURN

DUE BY Friday, February 16

VCS will soon start the process of configuration for next school year. Please fill out and return the letter of intendent (attached to this bulletin, on the website, hard copies in the office) by 2/16. Please make sure you include any new incoming siblings. Your clarity of commitment to keep your child at VCS plays a key role in helping us make the best configuration decisions for all out students. THIS IS A REQUIRED PROCESS TO HOLD SPOTS FOR THE NEXT SCHOOL YEAR. If we do not receive intent to return, we cannot guarantee that your child’s spot will be held

HELP NEEDED:

  • Trimming and training the willow teepee—ladder, clippers, patience
  • Building the gazebo (see parts outside my office) for Ms. Parent’s outdoor garden classroom
  • Take home the shark vacuum and give it a good cleaning (ideally over the weekend)
  • In search of wildflower seeds, newspapers, and paper towel tubes for an upcoming project. If you have any, please bring them to the office and leave them on the round table. THANK YOU
  • We are seeking some help in cleaning/organizing classrooms. Ideally 1-2 times/week, after school hours. If this is something you can help with, please contact Rebecca

ITEMS NEEDED:

  • In the spring, the middle school will need about 18 cubic feet of clay soil and 9 pounds of straw to make the 272 half-gallon mud bricks of their Hanging Gardens of Babylon. It will be a planted model about 3′ tall. Also, keep the (empty, clean) half-gallon cartons coming! There is a collection box in the classroom.
